If ever I win the lottery and have a substantial amount on my hand, I would probably change my lifestyle. Not that I dislike my current routine but a change will certainly do good. I am not too fashion conscious and so I will not indulge in spending too much money on it. Instead, I love traveling and would love to travel more often to all those fascinating destinations that I always dreamt about but could not afford. I would also allot a certain portion of money for my pet project ‘Cure Cancer’. After all, people suffering with the horrible disease certainly deserve some attention and caring.
Apart from raising children, parents should also inculcate social values and ethos, in to them, by passing on certain meaningful family traditions. This need not necessarily mean trying to make the children follow something that was believed in the past to be an act to be followed blindly. A meaningful tradition should ensure that the family’s bondage keeps growing. Children should be taught the importance of participating in meaningful traditions that will keep them emotionally close to the other members of the family. I would personally like to pass over such values to the next generation as this would promote a feeling of staying close to the people who matter most.

My husband and I got married in Chennai, India. Since we experience a pretty warm weather most of the time in Chennai, we had decided to travel to travel to a hill resort for our honeymoon. So, we went to Ootacamund aka Ooty in South India. It is a great hill station where the temperature can get to freezing level during winter. The lovely gardens, lakes, water falls and dense forests around make Ooty truly a feast for the eyes. Most of the locals belong to a friendly and innocent hill tribe called Todas. The lovely time that we had still lingers green in our minds.
Even during my school days I was very interested in social works. I used to be he first to volunteer help in blood donation camps or any other welfare camps organized by the school. Once I joined college, I started regularly visiting a few old age homes and offered my help whenever I could. I was also keen on helping people suffering from cancer. After I got married, with the help of my husband, I have floated a small organization called ‘Cure Cancer’. Members of this organization visit cancer patients regularly and try to make them believe they can survive through their disease. In severe cases, we try to keep them light hearted and make it as painless as possible.
